Bring your old books, textbooks, manuscripts and even your manifestos by the Sustainability House (238 Harmon Ave) to donate to Better World Books!
We will be collecting books March 5- March 29, 2013. Stop by the Sustainability House anytime Monday-Friday between 8:00 and 5:00.
All of the books will be donated to Better World Books, a for-profit organization that promotes literacy and carbon sequestration projects around the globe. So not only will we be keeping the books out of the landfill but also promoting literacy in the United States with our literacy partner, National Center for Family Literacy.
All books will be either sold on Better World Book’s website (with a percentage of the proceeds going to the National Center for Family Literacy), donated directly to a literacy campaign or recycled. 100% of all the books donated will be reused or recycled!
Our goal for this book drive is to collect 500 lbs. of books to donate to Better World Books. We can’t meet our goals without your help!
You can also drop off books in the Union! Look for these green bins:
