The Office for Sustainability, the Arkansas Union Advisory Committee and Sustainability Curriculum will sponsor several events during the week of April 22, 2013.

Monday

The UA Earth Day Fair

10:00-2:00 in the University of Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge on Monday, April 22.  Local businesses and individuals will showcase their environmental products, services, research efforts and ideas.  Sustainability-themed Registered Student Organizations will also be present during the fair. Tuesday

The Sustainability Capstone poster presentation

April 23 from 10:00-2:00 in the University of Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge.  This poster presentation will demonstrate undergraduate research in the field of sustainability.

The UA Sustainability Council

3:30 – 5:00 in Arkansas Union room 509-511 on April 23.  This meeting is open to the public.

Wednesday

Open House and Brown Bag Lecture

10:00 – 3:00.  Elvira Kizilova, a Public Policy graduate student, will present a special brown bag lecture on Sustainable Tourism.  Arts and Craft stations will be located in the basement.  Additional activities will take place throughout the day.  The Sustainability House is located at 238 Harmon Avenue.

Friday

2:00-4:00. Hear a little bit about the history of the creek, its recent restoration and how you can personally contribute to its well-being.  Drinks, gloves and bags will be provided. Students can register to participate here: http://bit.ly/YTfnua
